Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

What Is Blepharoplasty?

Upper blepharoplasty targets drooping upper lids to create a more rested, alert look and improved vision.

Lower blepharoplasty refines the appearance of the area below the eyes by minimizing undereye bags and indentations.

The procedures can be combined for comprehensive results. By excising excess skin, removing or repositioning displaced fat (bags), and tightening the surrounding muscles, we can help you achieve a brighter, more youthful appearance.

Our Surgical Approach

In an upper blepharoplasty, we make small incisions along the natural fold of the upper eyelid to remove excess skin and fat, which helps lift and tighten the area for a clearer field of vision and a refreshed look.

During lower blepharoplasty, we make incisions just below the lash line or inside the lower eyelid to remove or redistribute fat, which reduces puffiness and smoothes under-eye bags.

Canthopexy tightens the lower eyelid through a small incision in the designated area to tighten and raise the lower eyelids.

Dr. Hendrick uses precision to ensure minimal scarring and natural-looking results, typically performing these surgeries under general anesthesia for patient comfort.

Recovery & Results

Recovery from blepharoplasty usually involves some swelling and bruising, but discomfort is typically minimal and can be managed with medication. Most patients can resume normal activities within 10 to 14 days, and the results are long-lasting. They often enhance both appearance and vision by removing visual obstructions.

VECTRA® 3D Imaging System

We offer VECTRA 3D imaging as an innovative tool for visualizing the potential of your plastic surgery transformation and empowering you to communicate your aesthetic goals more effectively. VECTRA’s advanced technology captures multiple high-resolution images of your appearance before surgery. Then, it creates detailed 3D simulations of how you might look after surgery. These images can showcase various surgical options and angles, allowing you to see highly accurate representations of your surgical results. The process takes only a few minutes, so you can review and discuss your results with Dr. Hendrick during your consultation to make the most informed decisions about your treatment.
